Jeanne Debons Studio, Bend

Botanist and botanical illustrator, Jeanne Debons, teaches small student-focused painting workshops at her Oregon studio. Dr. Debons received her Ph.D. in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University. She graduated from the diploma course in Botanical Painting at the English Gardening School in 2005. Dr. Debons invites you to join her painting workshops this Fall.

Botanical Painting – The weekend class is for beginners and advanced students in botanical art. Beginners will learn how to begin a botanical drawing and painting. Advanced students have the option of beginning a new project or working on an existing project. Supplies will be provided for beginners. Quinn Fitzpatrick

Quinn is an artist, a musician, and a graduate of the Natural Science Illustration Program at the University of Washington. His specialties include wild cats, raptors, wild edible plants, and medicinal plants. His chosen media are graphite, watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, and photography. He teaches workshops in botanical illustration in Washington, Oregon and Colorado.
Hoyt Arboretum

A 187-acre arboretum with 21 trails totaling 12 miles in length. Home to a collection of more than 1,000 species of trees and other plants. Researchers have kept continuous records of the plants growing in the arboretum. The Hoyt Arboretum Plant Inventory Guide has information on over 8,000 plants. It is available to the public for free.
Leach Botanical Garden

A 16-acre garden in southeast Portland. Formerly the private garden of botanist Lilia Leach and her husband pharmacist John Leach, the garden features over 2,000 species of plants and hosts special events and workshops year-round.
Andie Thrams

Vorobik Botanical Art

Linda Ann Vorobik, Ph.D. is a botanical illustrator and botanist who teaches at the Jepson Herbarium at UC Berkeley, conducts field research in the Siskiyou Mountains in Oregon and teaches botanical illustration in California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.
